Douglas Equipment Limited will be participating in the prestigious Inter Airport Europe Exhibition in Munich to be held at the Munich Trade Fair from 6 – 9 October 2009 promoting their range of towbarless and conventional aircraft towing tractors and Mu-Meter Runway Friction Measuring Equipment.
On display at Inter Airport will be the Douglas Kalmar TBL600 towbarless aircraft handling tractor designed for handling aircraft ranging from the Airbus A310/Boeing B767 up to and including the Airbus A380.
The TBL600 incorporates the latest CanBus electronic control technology, latest cab and in-cab layout and other features, many of which are now incorporated across the complete range of the market leading Douglas towbarless tractors.
The latest Douglas Tugmaster type DC10-44 conventional aircraft towing tractor will also be on display. The mid range DC10-44 can be ballasted from 25 tonnes to 43 tonnes giving it the capability for handling aircraft up to a B747.
The DC10-44 incorporates the latest cab, in-cab layout and other features, many of which have been incorporated across the complete range of Douglas conventional aircraft towing tractors including the new forward control, 4 wheel drive DC5-44 conventional tractor that can be ballasted from 5 tonnes to 7 tonnes, designed for pushback and towing operations with regional type aircraft with maximum ramp weights up to approximately 50 tonnes.
The market leading Douglas Mu-Meter Runway Friction Measuring Equipment that can be found in operation at airports around the world will also be exhibited at Munich alongside the revolutionary battery electric power Douglas RAM (Remote Aircraft Mover) for handling military fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
